Seller Agreement

This applies to anyone who opens a shop on Alleba. It sits on top of our Terms of Service — where the two overlap, this page is the more specific one.

Last updated 17 August 2026

1. You sell, we host

Alleba gives you a place to list and showcase your products. Every sale is a contract between you and your buyer. Alleba is not the seller, not the importer, not the shipper, and never receives your buyer's money.

2. Registration, taxes and receipts

You can sell on Alleba as an informal or side-hustle seller. That does not remove your own obligations under Philippine law. You confirm that:

  • You are the lawful seller of the items you list and have the right to sell them.
  • You are solely responsible for any DTI, SEC, BIR, barangay or mayor's permit registration that applies to your activity.
  • You are solely responsible for declaring and paying your own taxes on sales made through Alleba.
  • You are solely responsible for issuing official receipts or invoices to your buyers where the law requires it. Alleba's receipt tools only reproduce details you supply; they do not make you BIR-registered.
  • If you tell a buyer you cannot issue an official receipt, you will say so honestly and provide the order summary instead.

Alleba does not verify your tax status and does not withhold or remit tax on your behalf.

3. Identity verification

To switch on cart checkout, you must complete identity verification: a government-issued ID and a selfie holding it, reviewed by our team by hand.

  • This is an identity check only. It is not a business registration check, a credit check, or an endorsement of your shop.
  • The name on your ID must match the account you use to receive payments.
  • Your documents are stored privately and are visible only to Alleba admins. See our Privacy Policy for how long we keep them.
  • Submitting a false, altered or borrowed ID results in permanent removal from the platform.

4. Payments

  • Buyers pay you directly through the QR code or payment details you publish. Alleba never holds these funds.
  • The payment account must be in your own name or your registered business name. Using someone else's account is grounds for suspension.
  • You are responsible for confirming payments promptly and for any refund you agree to give.
  • You must not ask buyers to pay through a channel that hides the transaction from your own order records.

5. Listings and honesty

  • Use your own photos, or photos you have the right to use, and show the actual item.
  • Describe condition, materials, size and any made-to-order lead time accurately.
  • Keep prices, stock and variants up to date. Honour a published price on an accepted order.
  • Do not list anything on our prohibited items policy.

6. Fulfilment, shipping and cancellations

  • Ship or make available for pickup within the window you published, and update the order status as you go.
  • Give a real pickup or meetup address when you offer those options.
  • Add tracking details when you use a courier that provides them.
  • If you cannot fulfil an order, cancel it promptly and refund the buyer in full.
  • Handle buyer complaints in the order chat first. Ignoring buyers is itself a ground for suspension.

7. Plans and billing

  • Paid plans are billed per account and unlock shop and product limits plus premium features.
  • Plans renew for the period you selected unless you cancel before the renewal date.
  • Cancelling stops future billing; your plan features run to the end of the paid period.
  • Plan fees are generally non-refundable, except where required by law or where we have clearly made a billing error.
  • During the beta, trial plans are granted at our discretion and may end on the stated trial date.
  • You can request an official receipt from Alleba for a paid plan from your billing page.

8. Suspension and removal

We may remove a listing, revoke a badge, or suspend or close a shop when:

  • The shop lists prohibited or illegal items.
  • There are credible reports of non-delivery, fraud or misrepresentation.
  • Identity documents are false, or payment details belong to someone else.
  • Reviews or ratings are being manipulated.
  • The shop repeatedly ignores buyers or our support team.

You can appeal any action by opening a support ticket. Serious cases are removed immediately and without prior notice.

9. Your responsibility

You agree to cover Alleba against claims and reasonable costs arising from your listings, your sales, your tax or registration obligations, or your breach of this agreement.
