REPUBLIC ACT NO. 9088 April 08, 2001
AN ACT DECLARING MARCH 17 OF EVERY YEAR AS A SPECIAL WORKING HOLIDAY IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF BALAMBAN, PROVINCE OF CEBU TO COMMEMORATE THE DEATH ANNIVERSARY OF PRESIDENT RAMON B. MAGSAYSAY, SR.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:
Section 1. In commemoration of the death anniversary of President Ramon B
Magsaysay Sr. in Mount Manunggal, Balamban, Cebu, March 17 of every year is hereby declared as a special working holiday in the Municipality of Balamban, Province of Cebu.
Section 2
This Act shall take effect upon its approval.

This Act which originated in the House of Representatives was finally passed by the House of Representatives and the Senate on February 6, 2000 and October 2, 2001, respectively.
