REPUBLIC ACT NO. 8999
AN ACT ESTABLISHING AN ENGINEERING DISTRICT IN THE FIRST DISTRICT OF THE PROVINCE OF LANAO DEL SUR AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR
Be it enacted by the Senate and the House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:
Section 1
The City of Marawi and the municipalities comprising the First District of the Province of Lanao del Sur are hereby constituted into an engineering district to be known as the First Engineering District of Lanao del Sur.
Section 2
The office of the engineering district hereby created shall be establish in Marawi City, Province of Lanao del Sur.
Section 3
The amount necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act shall include in the General Appropriations Act of the year following its enactment into law. Thereafter, such sums as may be necessary for the maintenance and continued operation of the engineering district office shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.
Section 4
This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
