[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 848, May 27, 1953 ]
AN ACT ESTABLISHING A NATIONAL SCHOOL OF ARTS AND TRADES OF THE PHILIPPINE SCHOOL OF ARTS AND TRADES TYPE IN THE PROVINCE OF NEGROS OCCIDENTAL.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House or Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:
Section 1
There is hereby established a national school of arts and trades of the Philippine School of Arts and Trades type, in the Province of Negros Occidental.
Section 2. The Secretary of Education is hereby empowered to organize said school
He may locate or acquire, or cause to be located or acquired any suitable site for said school, which may be public or private lands situated within the Province of Negros Occidental.
Section 3
The sum of one hundred thousand pesos is hereby authorized to be appropriated out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated for the operation and maintenance of said school for the school year nineteen hundred fifty-two to nineteen hundred fifty-three.
Section 4
This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
