[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 8277, April 10, 1997 ]

AN ACT ESTABLISHING A NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL IN BARANGAY STO. TOMAS, MUNICIPALITY OF PASSI, PROVINCE OF ILOILO, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

Section 1

There shall be established, under the supervision of the Department of Education, Culture and Sports, a national high school in Barangay Sto. Tomas, Municipality of Passi, Province of Iloilo.

Section 2

The Secretary of Education, Culture and Sports shall take the necessary steps for the establishment and operation of the school which will start the first semester of the school year 1996-1997.

Section 3

The amount necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act shall be included in the General Appropriations Act of the year following its enactment into law and thereafter.

Section 4

This Act shall take effect upon its approval.

Approved, Lapsed into law on April 10, 1997, without the signature of the President, in accordance Article VI, Section 27 (1) of the Constitution.
