AN ACT CONVERTING THE MANINGALAO BARANGAY HIGH SCHOOL IN LAS NIEVES, AGUSAN DEL NORTE, INTO A NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:
Section 1
The barangay high school of Barangay Maningalao in the Municipality of Las Nieves, Agusan del Norte, is hereby converted into a national high school to be known as the Maningalao High School.
Section 2
Upon organization of Maningalao High School, all assets, liabilities, personnel, equipment and records of the Maningalao Barangay High School shall be transferred to the Maningalao High School.
Section 3
The Secretary of Education, Culture and Sports is hereby empowered to promulgate such rules and regulations as may be necessary to carry out the purpose of this Act.
Section 4
The amount necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act shall be included in the General Appropriations Act of the year following its enactment into law and thereafter.
Section 5
This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
Approved, Lapsed into law on March 3, 1997, without the signature of the President, in accordance with Article VI, Section 27 (1) of the Constitution.
