[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 7671, January 10, 1994 ]

AN ACT DECLARING JUNE NINETEEN OF EVERY YEAR AS 'ARAW NG SURIGAO DEL SUR' AND SPECIAL NONWORKING HOLIDAY IN THE ENTIRE PROVINCE

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

Section 1

The Province of Surigao del Sur was created by virtue of Republic Act No. 2786 which was finally approved on June 19, 1960.

Section 2

June Nineteen of every year is hereby declared as "Araw ng Surigao del Sur" and consequently a special nonworking holiday in the entire province.

Section 3

This Act shall take effect immediately upon its approval.

Lapsed into law on January 10, 1994 without the President's signature, pursuant to Sec. 27(1), Article VI of the Constitution.
