[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 7348, April 02, 1992 ]
AN ACT MERGING AND INTEGRATING THE BATAD NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL AND THE BATAD NATIONAL AGRICULTURAL AND VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF BATAD, PROVINCE OF ILOILO, INTO A POLYTECHNIC COLLEGE TO BE KNOWN AS THE BATAD POLYTECHNIC COLLEGE, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:
Section 1
The Batad National High School and the Batad National Agricultural and Vocational High School are hereby merged and integrated into a polytechnic college to be known as the Batad Polytechnic College.
Section 2
All assets, fixed and movable, personnel, records and documents of the Batad National High School and the Batad National Agricultural and Vocational High School in the Municipality of Batad, Province of lloilo, as well as their liabilities shall be transferred to the Batad Polytechnic College:*Provided, however,*That the positions, rights and security of tenure of personnel employed therein pursuant to existing laws prior to the integration of the Batad National High School and the Batad National Agricultural and Vocational High School into the Batad Polytechnic College are not impaired.
Section 3
In addition to the current appropriations of the Batad National High School and the Batad National Agricultural and Vocational High School, the amount needed to carry out the provisions of this Act shall be included in the General Appropriations Act of the year following its enactment into law and thereafter.
Section 4
The Department of Education, Culture and Sports shall take the necessary steps for the immediate implementation of this Act.
Section 5
All laws, presidential decrees, executive orders, rules and regulations contrary to or inconsistent with the provisions of this Act are hereby repealed, amended or modified accordingly
Section 6
This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
