AN ACT ALLOWING QUALIFIED VOTERS OF THE CITY OF OROQUIETA TO VOTE IN PROVINCIAL ELECTIONS OF THE PROVINCE OF MISAMIS OCCIDENTAL, AMENDING FOR THE PURPOSE REPUBLIC ACT NUMBERED FIFTY-FIVE HUNDRED AND EIGHTEEN

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

Section 1

Section One hundred five of Republic Act Numbered Fifty-five hundred and eighteen, entitled "An Act Creating the City of Oroquieta," is hereby amended to read as follows:

"Sec. 105. Participation in election of provincial officials. - The voters of the City of Oroquieta shall be qualified and entitled to vote in the election of provincial governor, provincial vice-governor, and members of the provincial board of the Province of Misamis Occidental, and any of such qualified voters can be a candidate for any provincial office." Section 2. All existing laws or parts thereof inconsistent with the provisions of this Act are hereby repealed or modified accordingly.

Section 3

This Act shall take effect upon its publication in at least two (2) newspapers of general circulation.
