AN ACT ALLOWING QUALIFIED VOTERS OF THE CITY OF MANDAUE TO VOTE IN PROVINCIAL ELECTIONS OF THE PROVINCE OF CEBU, AMENDING FOR THE PURPOSE REPUBLIC ACT NUMBERED FIFTY-FIVE HUNDRED AND NINETEEN
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:
Section 1
The first paragraph of Section Ninety-six of [Republic Act Numbered Fifty-five hundred and nineteen](../../../statutes/repacts/ra1969/ra_5519_1969.html), entitled "An Act Creating the City of Mandaue," is amended to read as follows:
Sec. 96. Participation of voters in provincial election. The qualified voters in the city shall be entitled to vote in any election for the offices of the provincial governor, vice-governor, and members of the provincial board of the Province of Cebu, and any of such qualified voters can be a candidate for any provincial office.
Section 2
All existing laws or parts thereof inconsistent with the provisions of this Act are hereby repealed or modified accordingly.
Section 3
This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
