[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 6349, June 19, 1971 ]
AN ACT PROVIDING FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A HOSPITAL IN THE PROVINCE OF SULU TO BE LOCATED IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF SIASI, TO BE KNOWN AS SULU MEDICAL CENTER, AND AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS THEREFOR.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:
Section 1
There shall be established under the supervision of the Director of Medical Services, a fifty-bed capacity hospital in the Province of Sulu, to be located in the Municipality of Siasi, to be known as the Sulu Medical Center. The site for the said hospital shall be determined by the Provincial Board of the Province of Sulu and the Municipal Council of the Municipality of Siasi, in consultation with the Director of Medical Services.
Section 2
The Secretary of Health shall promulgate such rules and regulations as may be necessary to carry into effect the purpose of this Act.
Section 3
The sum of five hundred thousand pesos is hereby authorized to be appropriated, out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the establishment, operation and maintenance of said hospital during the fiscal year nineteen hundred and seventy. Such sum as may be needed for its operation and maintenance in subsequent years shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.
Section 4
This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
