[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 5971, June 21, 1969 ]
AN ACT CONSTITUTING THE MUNICIPAL DISTRICTS OF KASIBU AND QUEZON IN THE PROVINCE OF NUEVA VIZCAYA INTO A SEPARATE HIGHWAY ENGINEERING DISTRICT.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:
Section 1
Any law to the contrary notwithstanding, the municipal districts of Kasibu and Quezon, Province of Nueva Vizcaya, are hereby constituted into a separate highway engineering district, with principal offices in the municipal district of Kasibu, same province.
The highway district engineer for said engineering district shall be appointed in accordance with existing laws.
Section 2
The Secretary of Public Works and Communications is hereby authorized to set aside the necessary sums out of any unallotted funds or savings under the Department to carry into effect the provisions of this Act, and to transfer the necessary personnel, records, property, equipment and other supplies and materials to carry out the provisions of this Act. Thereafter, the sums necessary for the maintenance and support of the highway engineering district herein created shall be included annually in the General Appropriations Act.
Section 3
This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
