[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 5833, June 21, 1969 ] AN ACT DECLARING MACTAN AIRPORT A REGULAR AIRPORT OF ENTRY FOR AIRCRAFT ARRIVING IN THE PHILIPPINES FROM ANY PLACE OUTSIDE THEREOF. Be it enacted by the Senate arid House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled: Section 1. Subject to the provisions of the Tariff and Customs Code of the Philippines, Mactan Airport is hereby declared a regular airport of entry for aircraft arriving in the Philippines from any place outside thereof to be known as Mactan International Airport;*Provided,* That the total income to be realized as such airport shall accrue to the Mactan International Airport Special Fund which is hereby created and shall be expended for the creation of positions, operation and maintenance, including the construction of the Customs, Immigration and Quarantine Area (CIQA). Section 2. This Act shall take effect upon its approval. Approved, June 21, 1969.
