REPUBLIC ACT No. 57

An Act to Amend Section Twenty-Nine of Act Numbered Twenty-Seven Hundred and Eleven, Known as the Revised Administrative Code

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippine Congress Assembled:

Section 1

Section twenty-nine of Act Numbered Twenty-seven hundred and eleven, known as the Revised Administrative Code, as amended, is hereby further amended to read as follows:

> "Sec. 29. Legal holidays. Thursday and Friday of Holy Week, Christmas Day, and Sundays are legal religious holidays. > > "The other legal holidays are: The first of January, the first of May, the fourth of July, the thirtieth of November, the thirtieth of December, and the day appointed by law for the holding of a general election."

Section 2

This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
