[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 5664, June 21, 1969 ] AN ACT AMENDING SECTION EIGHTY-EIGHT OF THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF SILAY (RE SEPARATE SCHOOL DIVISION FOR THE CITY). Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:
Section 1
Section eighty-eight of Republic Act Numbered Sixteen hundred twenty-one, otherwise known as the Charter of the City of Silay, as amended, is hereby further amended to read as follows:
Section 88.*The Bureau of Public Schools.*The Bureau of Public Schools shall exercise only supervisory power in respect to public schools in the City of Silay and the division superintendent of schools for the City of Silay shall have all the powers and duties in respect to the schools of the city as are vested in division superintendents in respect to schools of their divisions. The said superintendent shall be appointed and receive compensation in accordance with law.
Section 2. This Act shall take effect upon its approval
