[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 5523, June 21, 1969 ] AN ACT APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF THIRTY-EIGHT MILLION ONE HUNDRED EIGHTY-SEVEN THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED FORTY PESOS FOR THE ORGANIZATION OF EIGHT THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED EXTENSION CLASSES, INCLUDING CREATION OF POSITIONS OF GENERAL EDUCATION AND MUSIC SUPERVISORS, COMMUNITY ADULT EDUCATION SUPERVISORS, PUBLIC SCHOOLS DISTRICT SUPERVISORS, PRINCIPALS AND JANITORS. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:
Section 1
The sum of thirty-eight million one hundred eighty-seven thousand nine hundred forty pesos, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is hereby appropriated out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated for the following purposes:edwin | a.For the organization of 8,700 extension classes | ₱1,31,450,500 | | --- | --- | | b. One hundredgeneral educationsupervisorsI to be apportioned, unless not necessary, to divisions which have less than ten general education supervisors, giving priority to divisions which have the least number of supervisors | 463,200 | | c. Ten community adult education supervisors I tobeapportionedonthe basis of one for each division which has no such school supervisor | 46,320 | | d.Five hundredpublicschoolsdistrict supervisors to be apportioned to each provincial and city division on the basis of one supervisor for every one hundred forty teachers | 2,202,000 | | e.Two hundred principals II | 758,400 | | f. One hundred principals I | 374,800 | | g. Two hundred principals I | 686,400 | | h. Ten division music supervisors at P4,632 | 46,320 | | i. One thousand janitors to be appointed from the residents of the locality | 2,160,000 |
Section 2
The appropriations herein provided shall be used exclusively and solely to cover the fund requirements as may be determined by the municipal and city school boards which can not be covered by the shares of the municipalities and cities from the additional one per cent tax on real property imposed under Republic Act Numbered Five thousand four hundred forty-seven, otherwise known as the Special Education Fund Act, and by the stabilization fund of the national government. under the same Act:Provided,That in the allocation of funds priority shall be given to municipalities and cities that can not finance their school needs taking into account the number of pupils of school age ready to be enrolled in such classes.
Section 3
Said sums shall thereafter be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.
Section 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval
