[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 5516, June 21, 1969 ] AN ACT APPROPRIATING FIVE HUNDRED THOUSAND PESOS FOR THE HOLDING OF THE NINETEEN HUNDRED AND SEVENTY INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE OF THE INTERNATIONAL COUNCIL OF SOCIAL WELFARE WITH THE PHILIPPINES AS HOST COUNTRY. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled: Section 1. The sum of live hundred thousand pesos is hereby appropriated, out of any fund in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to the Department of Social Welfare to be turned over to the Philippine National Committee (Council of Welfare Agencies of the Philippines to be used exclusively to support the holding of the fifteen Hundred and Seventy International Conference of the International Council of Social Welfare with the Philippines as host country:*Provided, however,* That the expenditures of such proceeds shall be subject to government accounting and auditing procedures and regulations in the disbursement of public funds. Section 2. This Act shall take effect upon its approval. Approved, June 21, 1969.
