[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 5489, June 21, 1969 ] AN ACT DIVIDING THE PROVINCE OF ILOCOS NORTE INTO TWO HIGHWAY ENGINEERING DISTRICTS. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled: Section 1. Any provision of law to the contrary notwithstanding, the Province of Ilocos Norte shall be divided into two highway engineering districts: the first engineering district to comprise the First Representative District; and the second engineering district to comprise the Second Representative District, with one highway district engineer for each engineering district. Section 2. This Act shall take effect upon its approval. Approved, June 21, 1969.
