[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 5477, June 21, 1969 ] AN ACT CREATING A SEPARATE PUBLIC SCHOOL DIVISION UNDER A SEPARATE DIVISION SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS IN THE ISLAND OF DINAGAT, PROVINCE OF SURIGAO DEL NORTE, AND AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS THEREFOR. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled: Section 1. There is hereby created a separate public school division under a separate division superintendent of schools in the Island of Dinagat; Province of Surigao del Norte, which comprises five municipalities. The seat of the division shall be in the Municipality of Dinagat. Section 2. The Director of Public Schools shall issue such rules and regulations for the said school division as may be necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act. Section 3. The sum of three hundred thousand pesos or so much as may be necessary to carry out the purpose of this Act for the school year nineteen hundred sixty-eight to nineteen hundred sixty-nine, is hereby authorized to be appropriated out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated. The sum necessary for the same purpose in subsequent years shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act. Section 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval. Approved,June21,1969.
