[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 5461, April 04, 1969 ] AN ACT CONSTITUTING THE PROVINCE OF ILOILO INTO FIVE HIGHWAY ENGINEERING DISTRICTS. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:
Section 1
Any provision of law to the contrary notwithstanding and upon the recommendation of the Commissioner of Public Highways and upon approval of the Secretary of Public Works and Communications, the Province of lloilo is hereby constituted into five highway engineering districts. The First Highway Engineering District shall be composed of all the municipalities comprising the First Congressional District; the Second Highway Engineering District shall be composed of all the municipalities of the Subprovince of Guimaras; the Third Highway Engineering District shall be composed of the municipalities comprising the Third Congressional District and the towns of Pavia and Leganes; the Fourth Highway Engineering District shall be composed of all the municipalities comprising the Fourth Congressional District; and the Fifth Highway Engineering District shall be composed of the municipalities of the Fifth Congressional District.
Section 2
Each of the five highway engineering districts shall have one highway district engineer and such other personnel who shall be appointed in accordance with existing laws and regulations.
Section 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval
