REPUBLIC ACT No. 4603
An Act Providing for the Establishment of a School of Fisheries to be Situated in the Municipality of Balaoan, Province of La Union and Authorizing the Appropriation of Funds Therefor
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippine Congress Assembled:
Section 1
There shall be established under the direct supervision of the Director of Public Schools a school of fisheries to be situated in Paraoir, La Union, to be known as the Northwestern Luzon School of Fisheries. The Director of Public Schools shall promulgate, subject to the approval of the Secretary of Education, such rules and regulations to carry out the purposes of this Act. Said Director shall also require the necessary site for the school.
Section 2
The sum of two hundred and fifty thousand pesos is hereby authorized to be appropriated, out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the establishment, operation, and maintenance of the said school for the fiscal years, the yearly Appropriation Act shall provide for its operation and maintenance.
Section 3
This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
