REPUBLIC ACT No. 3699
An Act to Further Amend Section Nine of Republic Act Numbered Nine Hundred Ninety-Seven, Otherwise Known as the "Reorganization Act of Nineteen Hundred Fifty-Four"
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippine Congress Assembled:
Section 1
Section nine of Republic Act Numbered Nine hundred ninety-seven, as amended by Republic Act Numbered One thousand two hundred forty-one, is further amended to read as follows:
"Sec. 9. The term government, agency, instrumentality, or office, used in this Act means the executive department, bureau, commission, council, board, office, division, service, administration, government-owned or controlled corporation, authority, or any establishment of the National Government, but shall exclude government banking institutions, which are operating under their own chapters.
Section 2
This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
