REPUBLIC ACT No. 3169
An Act Providing for the Establishment of a Leprosarium in the Province of Ilocos Sur, and Authorizing the Appropriation of Funds Therefor
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippine Congress Assembled:
Section 1
There shall be established, under the direct supervision of the Director of Disease Control, a leprosarium in the Province of Ilocos Sur, to be known as the Ilocos Leprosarium.
Section 2
The Secretary of Health shall issue such rules and regulations as may be necessary to carry out the purpose of this Act.
Section 3
The sum of five hundred thousand pesos is hereby authorized to be appropriated, out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the establishment, operation and maintenance of said leprosarium during the fiscal year nineteen hundred sixty-two. Thereafter, such sum as may be needed for its operation and maintenance shall be included in the annual General Appropriation Acts.
Section 4
This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
