REPUBLIC ACT No. 2720
An Act Providing for the Operation and Maintenance of a Hospital in the Municipality of Brookes Point, Province of Palawan, and Authorizing the Appropriation of Funds Therefor
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippine Congress Assembled:
Section 1
There shall be under the direct supervision of the Director of Medical Services, a twenty-five-bed general hospital in the Municipality of Brookes Point, Province of Palawan, to be known as the Brookes Point General Hospital.
Section 2
The Secretary of Health shall promulgate such rules and regulations as may be necessary to carry out the purpose of this Act.
Section 3
The sum of fifty thousand pesos is hereby authorized to be appropriated, out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the operation and maintenance of the said hospital during the fiscal year nineteen hundred sixty-one: Provided, That no amount herein appropriated will be released unless the Secretary of Health certifies that a suitable hospital building is available. Such sums as may be necessary for its operation and maintenance in subsequent years shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.
Section 4
This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
