REPUBLIC ACT No. 2417
An Act to Amend the Title and Section One of Republic Act Numbered Nineteen Hundred and Fifty-Two, Entitled "An Act to Establish the Roxas Memorial School of Arts and Trades in the Municipality of Ibajay, Province of Aklan, and to Authorize the Appropriation of Funds Therefor"
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippine Congress Assembled:
Section 1
The title of Republic Act Numbered Nineteen hundred and fifty-two is amended to read as follows:
"An Act to establish the Roxas Memorial School of Arts and Trades in the Municipality of Kalibo, Province of Aklan, and to authorize the appropriation of funds therefor.
Section 2
Section one of the same Act is amended to read as follows:
Sec. 1. The Director of Public Schools is hereby authorized and directed to establish a national school of arts and trades of the Philippine School of Arts and Trades type in the Municipality of Kalibo, Province of Aklan, which shall be called Roxas Memorial School of Arts and Trades. The Secretary of Education is hereby empowered to organize the said school and to issue such rules and regulations as may be necessary to carry out the purpose of this Act. Courses of junior college and secondary levels shall be offered in the said school.
Section 3
This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
