REPUBLIC ACT No. 236

An Act Authorizing the President to Define the Boundaries of Nueva Vizcaya

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippine Congress Assembled:

Section 1

Pursuant to section sixty-eight of the Revised Administrative Code, as amended by Act Numbered Twenty-nine hundred and twenty-nine, the President of the Philippines is hereby authorized to define by executive order the boundaries of the Province of Nueva Vizcaya following the provision of Executive Order Numbered Fifty-six, series of nineteen hundred and seventeen, in so far as the boundary of Pangasinan and Nueva Vizcaya is concerned. The boundary between the Province of Nueva Vizcaya and Mountain Province shall be based on existing surveys, if any; and the boundaries of Nueva Vizcaya and the other provinces shall be determined from such technical description, by bearing, and distances, as may be furnished by the Bureau of Lands, based on and prepared from the latest and most authoritative map of the province prepared by the Bureau of Coast and Geodetic Survey.

Section 2

The executive order to be issued under this Act shall supersede section fifty of the Revised Administrative Code and Act Numbered Thirty-one hundred and thirty-three and all other Acts or Executive Orders inconsistent herewith.

Section 3

This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
