REPUBLIC ACT No. 1226

An Act Increasing the Number and Fixing the Salaries of Assistant Fiscals for the City of Iloilo, Further Amending for the Purpose the Last Paragraph of Section Twenty-Three of the Charter of Said City

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippine Congress Assembled:

Section 1

The last paragraph of section twenty-three of Commonwealth Act Numbered One hundred fifty-eight, otherwise known as the Charter of the City of Iloilo, as amended by Republic Act Numbered Two hundred seventy-six, is further amended to read as follows:

"The City Fiscal shall have four assistants who shall receive compensation in accordance with the
following scale:
(a)The first assistant city fiscal shall receive three thousand six hundred pesos per annum;
(b)the second assistant city fiscal shall receive three thousand pesos per annum;
(c)the third assistant city fiscal shall receive two thousand seven hundred sixty pesos per annum; and (d) the fourth assistant city fiscal shall receive two thousand four hundred pesos per annum. The city fiscal and his assistants shall be appointed by the President of the Philippines with the consent of the Commission on Appointments.

Section 2

This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
