AN ACT UPGRADING THE DISTRICT OFFICE OF THE LAND TRANSPORTATION OFFICE LOCATED IN LAOAG CITY, PROVINCE OF ILOCOS NORTE, INTO A CLASS "A" DISTRICT OFFICE AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:
Section 1
The district office of the Land Transportation Office (LTO) in Laoag City, Province of Ilocos Norte, is hereby upgraded into a Class "A" district office.
Section 2
The Secretary of Transportation shall immediately include in the Department's program the operationalization of the Department's program the operationalization of Class "A" LTO District Office in Laoag City, Province of Ilocos Norte, the initial funding of which hall be charged against the current year's appropriation of the LTO District Office. Thereafter, the funding of which shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.
Section 3
This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation.

This Act, which originated in the House of Representatives, was passed by the House of Representatives on September 4, 2024, amended by the Senate of the Philippines on December 18, 2024, and which amendments were concurred in by the House of Representatives on January 21, 2025.
