[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 12173, April 11, 2025 ]
AN ACT UPGRADING THE DISTRICT OFFICE OF THE LAND TRANSPORTATION OFFICE IN THE CITY OF MATI, PROVINCE OF DAVAO ORIENTAL, FROM CLASS "D" TO CLASS "C" AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:
Section 1
The district office of the Land Transportation Office (LTO) in the City of Mati, Province of Davao Oriental, is hereby upgraded from a Class "D" to a Class "C" district office.
Section 2
The Secretary of the Department of Transportation shall immediately include in the Department's program the operationalization of a Class "C" LTO District Office in the City of Mati, Province of Davao Oriental, the initial funding of which shall be charged against the current year's appropriation of LTO Region XI. Thereafter, the funding of which shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.
Section 3
This Act shall take effect after fifteen (15) days following the completion of its publication in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation.

This Act, which is originated in the House of Representatives, was passed by the House of Representatives on September 19, 2024, amended by the Senate of the Philippines on December 18, 2024, and which amendment were concurred in by the House of Representatives on January 21, 2025.
