Begun and held in Metro Manila, on Monday, the twenty-sixth day of July, two thousand twenty one.

[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 11629, December 10, 2021 ]

AN ACT CONVERTING THE SIOCON NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL IN BARANGAY POBLACION, MUNICIPALITY OF SIOCON, PROVINCE OF ZAMBOANGA DEL NORTE INTO A NATIONAL SCIENCE HIGH SCHOOL, TO BE KNOWN AS SIOCON NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

Section 1

The Siocon National High School in Barangay Poblacion, Municipality of Siocon, Province of Zamboanga del Norte is hereby converted into a national science high school to be known as Siocon National Science High School.

Section 2

All personnel, assets, liabilities and records of the Siocon National High School are hereby transferred to and absorbed by the Siocon National Science High School.

Section 3

The Secretary of Education shall immediately include in the Departments program the operationalization of the Siocon National Science High School, the initial funding of which shall be charged against the current years appropriations of the Siocon National High School. Thereafter, the amount necessary for the continued operation of the school shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.

Section 4

Within ninety (90) day from the approval of this Act, the Secretary of Education shall issue the rules and regulations implementing the provisions of this Act.

Section 5

This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in theOfficial Gazetteor in a newspaper of general circulation.
