AN ACT SEPARATING THE BASIAWAN NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL MALAGSOM EXTENSION IN BARANGAY BUHANGIN, MUNICIPALITY OF MALITA, PROVINCE OF DAVAO OCCIDENTAL FROM THE BASIAWAN NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL, CONVERTING IT INTO AN INDEPENDENT NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL TO BE KNOWN AS BUHANGIN NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

Section 1

The Basiawan National High School Malagsom Extension in Barangay Buhangin, Municipality of Malita, Province of Davao Occidental is hereby separated from the Basiawan National High School and converted it into an independent national high school to be known as the Buhangin National High School.

Section 2

All personnel, assets, liabilities and records of the Basiawan National High School Malagsom Extension are hereby transferred to and absorbed by the Buhangin National High School.

Section 3

The Secretary of Education shall immediately include in the Departments program the operationalization of the Buhangin National High School, the initial funding of which shall be charged against the current years appropriation of the Basiawan National High School Malagsom Extension. Thereafter, the amount necessary for the continued operation of the school shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.

Section 4

Within one hundred twenty (120) days after the approval of this Act, the Secretary of Education shall promulgate the rules and regulations implementing the provisions of this Act.

Section 5

This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in theOfficial Gazetteor in a newspaper of general circulation.
