Eighteenth Congress Second Regular Session Begun and held in Metro Manila, on Monday, the twenty-seventh day of July, two thousand twenty.

AN ACT RENAMING THE SURIGAO DEL SUR STATE UNIVERSITY (SDSSU) IN THE PROVINCE OF SURIGAO DEL SUR TO NORTH EASTERN MINDANAO STATE UNIVERSITY (NEMSU)
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:
Section 1
The Surigao del Sur State University (SDSSU) in the Province of Surigao del Sur is hereby renamed as the North Eastern Mindanao State University (NEMSU).
Section 2. The provisions of Republic Act No
8292, otherwise known as the Higher Education Modernization Act of 1997, shall form part of this Act and the governing charter of the University.
Section 3
All laws, executive orders, decrees, instructions, rules and regulations contrary to or inconsistent with any provisions of this Act are amended, repealed or modified accordingly.
Section 4
This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in theOfficial Gazetteor in a newspaper of general circulation.
