Begun and held in Metro Manila, on Monday, the twenty-third day of July, two thousand eighteen.

REPUBLIC ACT No. 11327

An Act Increasing the Bed Capacity of Valenzuela Medical Center in the City of Valenzuela, from Two Hundred (200) to Five Hundred (500) Beds, and Appropriating Funds Therefor

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippine Congress assembled:

Section 1

The bed capacity of Valenzuela Medical Center in the City of Valenzuela shall be increased from two hundred (200) to five hundred (500) beds. The increase in the bed capacity shall be implemented consistent with the development plan of the hospital.

Section 2

The existing hospital facilities, professional health care services and health human resource of the Valenzuela Medical Center are hereby upgraded to conform and be commensurate to the increase in its bed capacity.

Section 3

The Secretary of Health shall immediately include in the Departments programs the implementation of this Act, the funding of which shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.

Section 4

If any provision or part of this Act is declared unconstitutional, the remaining parts or provisions not affected shall remain in full force and effect.

Section 5. Republic Act No

7218, as amended, entitled, "An Act Increasing the Bed Capacity of the Valenzuela District Hospital in Valenzuela, Metro Manila, from Twenty-Five (25) to One Hundred (100) Beds, and Appropriating Funds Therefor" and Republic Act No. 9421, entitled, "An Act Upgrading the Valenzuela General Hospital in the City of Valenzuela, Metro Manila Into a Two Hundred Bed Capacity Tertiary Level Hospital to be Known as the Valenzuela Medical Center and Appropriating Funds Therefor", are hereby repealed. All other laws, decrees, orders, issuances, rules and regulations, or parts thereof which are inconsistent with the provisions of this Act are hereby repealed, amended or modified accordingly.

Section 6

This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette or in any newspaper of general circulation.

This Act was passed by the Senate of the Philippines as Senate Bill No. 1966 on February 4, 2019 and adopted by the House of Representatives as an amendment to House Bill No. 7327 on February 7, 2019.
