AN ACT DECLARING SEPTEMBER 21 OF EVERY YEAR A SPECIAL WORKING HOLIDAY IN THE CITY OF CEBU AND THE ENTIRE PROVINCE OF CEBU, INCLUDING ITS HIGHLY URBANIZED AND COMPONENT CITIES, TO BE KNOWN AS "CEBU PRESS FREEDOM DAY"

REPUBLIC ACT No. 11122

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippine Congress assembled:

Section 1

September 21 of every year is hereby declared a special working holiday in the City of Cebu and the entire Province of Cebu, including its highly urbanized and component cities, to be known as "Cebu Press Freedom Day".

Section 2

This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazetteor in a newspaper of general circulation.
