Article 312

Continuation of Insurance Policies and Indemnity Bonds

Formerly Article 297 before the 2015 renumbering — court decisions before 2015 cite it this way.

Not amended

All workmen’s compensation insurance policies and indemnity bonds for self-insured employers existing upon the effectivity of this Code shall remain in force and effect until the expiration dates of such policies or the lapse of the period of such bonds, as the case may be, but in no case beyond December 31, 1974. Claims may be filed against the insurance carriers and/or selfinsured employers for causes of action which accrued during the existence of said policies or authority to self-insure.

Text and numbering follow the Department of Labor and Employment's 2022 edition of Presidential Decree No. 442, as amended and renumbered under DOLE Department Advisory No. 01, series of 2015.
