Hahaha. That’s a new one. I’m already used to seeing “philippino” and various permutations of double l’s and p’s thereof.

Yeah! Very much the same here in Oz.
Filipino is spelled as Philippino. Very visible in Asian restaurants.

i fail to understand why portals (and google) had to bother with localizing their sites by translating everything into tagalog/bisaya/whatever. sure, for novelty maybe, but that grows old really fast. it’s hardly useful because everyone who’s “smart” enough to get on the internet understands english anyway.
but boo on yahoo. quite an egregious error too. tsk tsk.

I agree with what Sonny said. A Filipino smart enough to be in the world wide web would certainly be able to read English.
