Mindanao Bloggers Summit: Success!

It’s been two days since the Usual Suspects successfully held the 1st Mindanao Bloggers Summit here in Davao City. Due to time constraints, I wasn’t able to report on the event immediately. Google Pagerank Ups and Downs

Just a couple of statistics that might interest you. Using data from Ratified.org, I found that a total of 58 Filipino blogs lost Pagerank after the latest update, while only 14 gained Pagerank. 407 blogs’ Pageranks remained unchanged.

Major shifts in the rankings can be noticed as well by looking at the Ratified Winners and Losers. A total of 13 blogs broke out into the top 100 during this update.


I’m Going to the Mindanao Blog Summit!

I’m proudly one of The Usual Suspects who are organizing Mindanao’s first Blog Summit! The Summit will be held on October 27, 2007 at the NCCC Mall in Davao City. I’m very, very excited to meet the 80+ bloggers from around Mindanao who have registered. If you’re a blogger who happens to be in the area, it’s not too late to register! You don’t have to be from Mindanao to participate, just as long as you have a blog.

SEMCON

Conan O’Brien Hates the Philippines Too!

I admit, Conan O’Brien, no matter how crass and senseless he is, is my favorite late night talk show host. Anyway, you might be curious what he had to say about the Philippines.

Who Cleans Up at the Googleplex?

Looking at how immaculate and pristine the Googleplex is, I can’t help but wonder if Google has a janitorial or maintenance staff at hand. Aileen has been there twice and said she never saw janitors around. Is there some mysterious entity roving at night that gets rid of all the “spam” left behind by Googlers? I’m guessing that might be the case. I would even go as far as speculating that it’s a bunch of miniature robots cleaning up after everyone’s mess — on stealth mode.
