I’m am a proud Filipino even though I was raised for most of my life in Canada. Culture-wise, I probably identify with being “Canadian” a bit more than being “Filipino”.

In my experience, I’ve met a lot of Filipinos who moved to Canada for supposedly better opportunities, but ended up not being able to use their education here. Doctors working in factories, nurses working as admin assistants, teachers working in retail, etc. Sad, really. They may have been better off staying in the Philippines.

Many Pacquiao realy has the pinoy

power punch that threatens most of the mexican

boxers…

In some field, i can say that pinoy are not

only good in sports – Physically, but

pinoy are smart also… agree?

In fact Philippines is becoming more

involved in Information Technology(IT)…

Philippines is creating new generations

of IT enthusiast such as graphix artist

and web programmers.

Davao is indeed a great place. I’ve had fond memories of it. The last I was there, though, was almost 10 years ago.

One thing I’m particularly proud of right now as a Filipino, and more particularly as someone from Mindanao—specifically Polomolok, South Cotabato—is that Manny Pacquiao got knocked out in Polomolok and the other areas in the district during the elections. Yes, Manny is a great fighter, maybe the best the world over. Yes he is a good man, he helps poorer folks in his community. But like what you said, but what does boxing have to do with running a city?
